Terms of Service
Effective October 12, 2026
These terms govern your use of thenickelsbudget.com, free accounts, our newsletter, the free Weekly Meal Planner and other downloads, and Nickel Meal Plans. The site is operated by Rip & Ride LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. General food budgeting information
Our guides, calculator, downloads, emails and Nickel Meal Plans are general information about food budgeting, cooking and storage. Prices vary by store and region, and any savings are estimates. Follow USDA food safety guidance and product labels. Our meal plans are not medical nutrition advice; check ingredients for allergies and talk to a doctor or registered dietitian about dietary needs for a medical condition.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or make a purchase.
3. Free accounts
- Accounts are free. You need a verified email address and a password.
- Keep your password confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account; tell us promptly if you think it's been misused.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or are used to abuse the site.
- Account holders receive account emails (verification and password resets), plus one email when Nickel Meal Plans are available only if they ask for it. The newsletter is separate and optional.
4. Nickel Meal Plans
- When available, Nickel Meal Plans is a monthly subscription at the price shown on the Meal Plans page in US dollars, billed in advance through our third-party payment provider.
- Each week you get a dinner plan for five nights, recipes and a shopping list by aisle, in your account and by email if you choose.
- You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month and you won't be charged again.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
4a. Downloads
The free Weekly Meal Planner and member downloads are free for personal use. You may print and share them with your household, but not resell or republish them.
5. Email
We send the newsletter only to people who sign up and confirm by email, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See our Email and Anti-Spam Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the site to break the law, sign up other people without their permission, submit false information, interfere with the site's security or operation, scrape it in bulk, or send spam or harmful content through our forms.

10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rip & Ride LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, arising from your use of the site, guides or Nickel Meal Plans, or from decisions you make based on them. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or Nickel Meal Plans is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law of your state of residence gives you the right to bring it where you live.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material, we'll notify members by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
